It was a pleasure and an honor to have met Jim. I knew him for just over 6 months but it felt like an eternity. Jim was more than a mentor; he was a friend and a much needed pillar of support. It seemed like he always knew exactly what to say, providing the right words of encouragement while striking a delicate balance with his unique dose of pragmatism. I looked forward to every single one of our chats, with the knowledge that I was getting the better bargain; I always came away smarter. He didn’t ask for anything in return, except that you ‘pay it forward’. I will miss you ‘crazy Uncle’. Sleep well.
