A Message from Duncan Cheatle

I met Jim a number of years ago through my brother Alex who spoke so highly of him. I recall having a wonderful debate over dinner and our paths crossed a number of times at Ten AGMs (my brother's business annual gatherings).

But it was when Jim invited me to join the Advisory Board of he Demeter network that I really got to experience Jim's passion, generosity and hugely encouraging nature. He was a joy to be around, wonderfully supportive and a great mentor.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with Jim and I shall remember our broad ranging discussions over lunches and dinners when he visited London with great fondness.

Jim - you epitomised the expression 'a scholar and a gentleman'

I will miss you dearly
